WESSEX out of the night that covers me It’s as good a day as any for a wander in the Glade. She might have been in Torchline, but they’ve got some nasty, unpredictable storms, and Wessex is over unpredictable environments at the moment. The Glade is never unpredictable. The Glade is beautiful, even in Deepfrost. Though there’s the slight chill of late spring in the night air, she’s dressed as if it were summer, the burns from the lava nearly healed by now. The sweet grass is poking up, bright green and fragrant and it reminds her of a simpler time. There’s movement in the tree; Wessex freezes, on ‘alert.’ With the supposed Fae killer - but no, it’s just a Hanging snake. Several of them, in fact. They move among the boughs, making their way closer to the ground and the person walking through the area, their tongues flickering in and out curiously. How can they identity a thing which has no known smell? black as the pit from pole to pole i thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul
