As Loren slammed down (carefully) onto Oliver, the smaller cat went positively wild. The blacksmith scratched, clawed, bit, and scraped against the lion. And none of it seemed to do anything but tickle and press against the healer's fur. A few of the blows hit with bruising force, but none of them cut the Firebrand.
Growling again, he gathered his legs under him for a moment, trying not to let Oliver escape. Then Loren half-wriggled half-pounced forward.
