Neron moves to sit in the seat opposite the other man. He’s already cleaned everything, locked up, the lot, and yet he sets down another two drinks - another cider for the other man, and a glass of red wine for himself. He can barely taste it these days, but it’s still something he can make himself enjoy.
”I’ve got to do the books, and the fire will stay lit until I’m ready to go. But you stay up until then if you want, okay?” It’s unusual, to see Neron be nice. Understanding, even. But he has time for Chulane, and has done ever since Deepfrost. Sighing, he shifts a bit further back from the fire and sips at his drink.
”I’ll not say I’m sorry, because you are probably tired of hearing it. How are you, though?”
