Sighing, he shifted so he was facing the water instead of the woman next to him. "Yes and no." He took a long pull from the flask. "Da was a shit father, but a good captain. Ran a tight ship. My siblings and I were all groomed for our roles from an early age. And I loved it." He smiled as an ocean breeze ruffled his hair.
