Luck had struck Rexanna as the door opened and Bastien stood behind it. He was shirtless, and she found her eyes dancing around his torso before landing on his face with an amused grin. As he spoke, however, with that uniquely wonderful accent, she offered him a brilliant smile. Perhaps he didn’t recognize her from the festival, but that was fine. There had been a lot going on there. So she tilted her head and gave him a dazzling smile. “Rexanna. It’s Bastien, right? We met briefly at the festival.” She began, the purr in her voice not fully met by her eyes, but there was a hint of something roguish beneath the sapphire hues. “I heard about your church and I was curious to learn about it, if you’ll indulge me?” Her voice was laced with that honey-dipped hue as she gestured with her head to the inside of the church. The way things were going already, the way Bastien had answered the door, seemed to speak to the type of church it was and the more her suspicions were beginning to be confirmed. If it was really as she thought, it might help her in her process of searching for passion enough to appease Frey into granting her the entirety of her voice back. It was something that she had to at least try, and Rexanna wasn’t typically shy about the number of people she’d slept with. It wasn’t something she hated doing, either. If anything, Rexanna was happy enough to indulge in promiscuity at any time – and the vibe she got from Bastien and his church seemed like it was a perfect place for her to fit in and simply indulge.
