Yet before she had gotten into position, she offered a thankful smile to Bastien as he moved to place a cloth beneath her knees. She knelt onto the warm cloth with a light sigh of relief, though the light touch of goosebumps trailed along her spine and tops of her shoulders. She wasn’t cold, not entirely.
