Between keeping the idiots from drowning themselves, managing the inevitable fighting, and trying not to let Sam eat you alive, you've barely had a moment to breathe.
But you know Vai's had it worse.
So one night you decide, fuck it. The kids are either running crazy or gone to the mountains, but it's time for the adults to have a night off. You've already taken care of the nitty gritty, paying some folks you trust to watch the docks, threatening a couple of the kids under penalty of death not to let things get out of hand. The clinic is being watched over, too, and you've snagged a very nice bottle of wine from the Hanged Man, leaving an apologetic note for Raza. You've even brushed your wild hair back and put on a (relatively) nice shirt. Everything is in place for a delightful evening.
