It isn't love, but it is something, a heat, a longing for just a minute to believe she can be desired - desired by someone like him. She turns back towards him obediently, looking up if only to avoid looking down. The hawk tattoo emblazoned on his chest is a healthy reminder that this cannot be anything, will not be anything, and yet.

"You... do?" Amalia whispers, looking up through a fringe of dark lashes, her mouth suddenly dry. She keeps her hands firmly on the counter, gripping tightly to keep from reaching out for him. "But you're- what about Remi?" That the Star loves the Lullaby is doubtless in her mind, and yet here her is, flirting with her, telling her he wants her, and Rae does she want to let herself be wanted, to admit she wants him back.
