The forest seemingly had more eyes than they’d likely ever know; clever, understanding the perplexities of their own home, and how to use them to their advantage. Outsiders, of which all of them were, no matter how they’d been dropped upon this earth by the Voice, or whether they’d been born and raised within another sanction, none of them would hold the ability of such a connection with the Greatwood. Guilty parties might very well be titled, heralded, and given new upheavals. But then what? How would they be held responsible? “What are your intended consequences?” Curiosity for curiosity’s sake, another swallow of his beer, pondering how any of the Fae would manage to snag at the unrepentant, and then seek out punishments and penalties. Perhaps it was none of his business. Perhaps it was just his background in plunging through ministrations and orchestrations; Halo was not under duress here, and he knew that. Except if Juniper happened to seek out Morgan, and instill the same possibilities. A shrug nearly undulated through his shoulders, but then he stilled, another series of schemes curling their way through his skull.
The Ascended couldn’t be the only one who were errant; and the spinning, Machiavellian mind presided quietly, forming more coiled thoughts, more embroiled endeavors, more outlines he’d been granted. Whether it’d been in the sake of justice, vengeance, revenge, sedition, however they intended to proclaim and name it, some damage had been done. While the Sword had his suspicions, nothing had ever been truly confirmed. The words rumbled again, but there were no figments of accusations. Quiet. Composed. Enigmatic. A neutral disposition. “Do you have any knowledge of the Ascended body parts that were dropped in various lands?”
