It was simpler here; no warfronts, no orchestrations, no research. Lena gained her wisdom through experience, through adversity, through the stars, through the earth, and everything else that came with it. Her role wasn’t into the persistence of power or the demolition of others – saving, caretaking, mending, assuaging, as best she could. And if that provided another with serenity, tranquility, a layer of calm in the gesture of storms, then that was fine, satisfactory too – like a rush of fresh air when everything else seemed so seething and harsh. She caught his smirk and snickered in return, a wrinkle to her nose in challenge, watching with an arched brow as Finn gave it earnest attempts.
It stilled eventually, and so she tended to her own, the ivory bandage rolling through her hands, nearly blending into the creature’s form. At his inquiry, she tossed a few of the treats over. “They’re well practiced by now, but yes, a little meat. Mostly fish.” Lena hummed under her breath again while she worked, bending the mellifluous melody into the clouds continuing to form and billow, releasing her hold on her latest charge, watching as it floated along, parading towards the others. “I can talk to them too, which makes it all much easier.”
