His hands roam, claws dragging along Nate’s sides, a spark shot to Nate’s lips, the sound from his husband coming across the attuned bond again with such a primal need that Sunjata can’t help the deep growl that slips from his throat, can’t help the hand that slips beneath the way Nate’s body arches against his.
He pulls back just enough to spy the glaze to his husbands gaze, a sort of pride that races down his spine with Nate’s fingertips chasing after them. A shivering breath leaves him as Nate’s words are heard, a sudden stillness overcoming him, searching Nate’s face for the lie. He doesn’t find it, and he takes it for what it is. He takes charge, even if it feels like a seesaw ready to give way the moment Nate changes his mind. It’s still enough to have his blood rushing, his mind vibrating with possibilities.
For now, though, that smirk flashes along his face again, lips shimmering with a hint of a pearlescent sheen. “For you to ask.” Not entirely, but he bluffs it anyway — having waited for the permission regardless, because he always does. The wings flare now, for balance mostly, Sunjata shifting to sit up a bit more and readjust himself and Nate, tugging the Ascended up with him. His lips find Nate’s neck, pressing more of those marking kisses to the column of pale skin while his hands move further down, fingers tucking into the waistband of Nate’s pants toward the front, hastily removing whatever stands in his way before moving to work on his own.
