Nodding at Nate's response about their ages and his explanation about his relationship to the woman whose body Luciana bore (or was it the other way around?) she groaned as her explorations yielded no results. She glanced over at the stranger when he spoke. "Wish I could say the same but this is too fucking creepy." Shaking her head, she turned to inspect the statue and the writing by it.
However, the man was moving and she watched him as he retrieved a knife. Frowning, she winced as he cut his palm and smeared it over the statue. Her statue deepened when she saw the scales and the horns. Hesitating for just a moment, she rolled her eyes and ripped a piece off her sleeve.
"Men," she muttered under her breath, holding out the makeshift bandage. More audibly, she asked, "What were you hoping to accomplish?" She could read the inscription, but wasn't going to cut her own hand just to see what happened.
Instead she went to the straw. Grabbing a handful, she broke and twisted it until it spelled out blood on the block the statue of the man was staring at.
