it's not what it looks like
Ianto merely snorts at Remi as they continue to stroll down the Stonesong, easily able to imagine the fun the manticore version of his friend might have charging at everything, held in place by a luxere or no. But then he's distracted by talk of the Landshark, the cardinal puffing up at the memory, and he takes off out of Remi's curls to land nearby. Of course, it's not a bird who lands but a man, Ianto stretching languidly as he rises to his feet, fingers ruffling through his coppery hair.
"Yeah, they do prefer flat places," he agrees, pointing up the river and squinting, like he'll be able to imagine the distance if he tries hard enough. "Delphia organised a trip a while back. Out to explore the dust storms, way beyond the Greatwood. We didn't get far - the landshark was out that way," he explains, before grinning back at the alchemist. "Honestly, to this day I don't know why she asked me along. I was thoroughly useless."
