Morgan laughed, quiet and under her breath, at Neron's point about the bite. She supposed, when it was happening, there were more pressing concerns than the taste. Interesting that the Voice would choose to give the pleasure to her children too; perhaps she was not entirely as cold as people made out.
He mentioned the thirst during the sickness, which she had known was stronger. Leaning over, she placed her hand gently on his knee and squeezed lightly. "It is a testament to your character, though, that you did not give in. I never felt in danger around you."
Besides, she thought, this Deepfrost he'd probably get to drink a lot...but she didn't say that.
"I think you're much better suited to what you're doing now. Though I have thought about adding you into my council...perhaps secretly, until we feel we can reveal it. I am not a fan of all this secrecy, but..." She trailed off and shrugged with a sigh, going to take another bite of food; he had to know what his somewhat toxic reputation in the Citadel could do to hers. "I do think you would make a good spymaster."
She smiled, looking off to the wall of the tower and pushing her hair behind her shoulder, revealing her neck to Neron in what could have been, if one wanted to analyse, a subconscious suggestion. "Perhaps I do. I must say you remind me to...laugh, every so often. I find it hard."
