He waves his hand a bit, the one that holds the glass as he motions with his words. “This giant monster made of mud attacked Fiat Lux. A few of us, Oliver included, went to try and stop it before it reached it. We… Didn’t exactly make it in time and it sucked me up into it.” There’s a purse of his lips as he recalls it, before he takes a sip of the alcohol to try and drown out the feeling of his lungs seizing up. “Lots of people were hurt or killed. I got some lung condition from it, so Nate was keeping tabs on me to heal me.” And Nate had done well for what he could, until Safrin magically fixed him right up as she continued to do.
But he focuses on her and the subject of Nate, edging closer toward that territory and agreeing as he takes a sip along with her before settling back in his chair and watching her eyes shift before he snorts and shakes his head. “No, not quite. He’s Ascended.” He considers her again, wondering if she now can spot the silvery bite marks along his neck, some fresh and some old, blending into the mix of bronze hued skin there. So many bite scars. And he wouldn’t want it any other way.
“So technically he can be if he bites you first.” A wink is sent to Aisha before he settles again.
