He's tracking one of them as well, bejewelled and large, and its diving, flying trajectory is nearly within his grasp--

Good job, Jack. Take your eye off the ball and get smacked by the wet fin of a low-flying cloud manta. The force of it throws him back into the water, in fact, and he manages to catch himself in his own net while he's at it. Smooth.
