There’s an eerie sort of dramatic mist floating knee-high off the ground this morning, the trees more bare than leafed as Leafchange starts to wane. Though she can’t feel a surge of adrenaline, there is some sort of anticipation, an energy buzzing in her limbs that she knows to be her own sort of not-nerves. Dressed to move, she’s still as barefoot as she was yesterday; her feet know the earth here, they were hard and callused long before she Ascended and there’s something about coming back to it that feels right.
When the Lullaby appears, he’ll be met with a fanged, eager smile.
