Your heart is in your throat just now, and it isn't the sort of state you're used to dealing with. It makes your mind slow and your reactions clumsy. So as Ronin explains, you find yourself just blinking stupidly at him, only really starting as he stands. "No, you...I..." He should have a check up, surely? You should really be doing something for him, but Finn needs your attention right now, and as good as Ronin looks (no, that is not you hitting on him, that's your medical opinion), he can probably do without you longer than Finn can. "I'll swing by in a few hours." You say with a bit more confidence, as your attention turns fully to Finn.
We all make mistakes, another doctor might have said. A friend might have said. But as much as you adore Finn, you're his doctor before you're anything else, and yes he has messed up badly this time.
Waiting until Ronin and the other nurses are out of the room, biding your time by offering Finn a glass of water, you sit on the edge of his bed offering him a worried stare. "The pills Falke prescribed were strong. I'm sure you knew that. When they found you you'd taken half a dozen." You pause, the air growing heavy around you. "Your normal dose is half a pill. One of things are really bad."
Was it intentional? If Finn can't read between the lines you'll have to properly ask, but gods if you don't hope he'll come right out with it.
