The chill of Deepfrost didn’t dampen her bones, but pushed and cajoled against any exposed skin – made her move faster, lighter, quicker, swifter steps along her walks back and forth, across plazas, along her drifting errands for the Celestine inhabitants. The scent of the mulled wines brought her closer to cobblestones and gathering areas, but she was of no mind to partake in the liquor just yet. However, easily distracted, deterred, by angles of curiosity, by anything related to Frey’s distinction, the youth quirked her head in the direction of the crowd gathering amidst the square.
Peering around shoulders, towering over some elbows, edging her way through both familiar individuals and strangers alike, her eyes took in the tree that had seemingly blossomed, bloomed, and ran rampant there overnight. The Caretaker dutifully removed her notebook from the basket on her arm, seemingly intact despite all the constant jostling, beginning to crouch down, closer, studying and perusing. “This is new,” she half-murmured to herself, jotting down a few notes as others brushed by, and the sapling instinctively moved of its own accord. She smiled, her own illustrious, effervescent beam, before turning her eyes upward, to the first person closest to her; maybe recognizable, though she couldn’t be certain. “Have you seen anything like this before?”
