“Excellent!” Bright and encouraging, she is obviously happy to hear that he’s come a ways since the last time he tried to hoverboard around during LongNight. “No, none of them inside if we can help it.” The head back outside, and Wessex finds herself on a street she rarely uses. Of course the Sanctuary has an alley behind it, she thinks, how she never thought of it as Bastien’s back door (ha ha ha), she’ll never know.
Anyway. “We don’t need fierce, we need adept. You are Bastien De Rosieries, you aren’t meant to be scary, so don’t try to be. Play to your strengths.” With a crooked grin, she closes the door behind her and gestures for him to get up on the hoverboard and take the staff. “Balance and speed.” Is all she says before taking off down the street - but definitely not at her full speed - she needs to see how fast he can go on that thing.
“Come on, catch me!” Despite the dire circumstances, she's grinning, the Deepfrost wind whipping through the short tendrils of her hair as she races through the buildings.
