Rigby liked that maybe somehow his glare had been intimidating enough to cause her pause. He ought to start learning how to be menacing, when it worked it really worked. But when it didn't he got punched, or worse, patronized. For now though, he was pleased and content to ignore her warnings about being barefoot and whatever else.
But then there was more commotion, another yelp, and another splash. At first, he laughed, honey brown eyes bright and amused as they followed the retreating back up into the canopy. When he looked down again he saw something that was mildly concerning. The red that leaked from her temple caused him pause, and a quick dilemma. Part of him thought this would be a great time to exit, to not get caught up having to help someone and maybe be blamed for something.
But a part of him that was was in opposition with his logical desires decided to tromp through the stream and over to her. It was admittedly harder to move through the water without heavy boots, but he was fine to do so with a little focus. When he reached her side he sighed loudly and reached out a hand for her to take.
