Maeve
Her vision is swimming. Completely blurred and black at the edges. Pain seared through her head, drowning out the other feelings of cold water numbing her limbs as well as the wet heat of blood running down her face. She's trying to make sense of what happened. One minute she was standing on the rock, asking after the young man who certainly didn't seem interested in a single thing she said. The next she was in the water with an overwhelming pain piercing through her head. She couldn't even hear him laughing.
It wasn't until his hand was right in front of her face that she realized he was actually helping her. Maeve reached up hesitantly, taking his hand and letting him help her up. Her feet unsteady under her even with the extra traction her boots supplied. The water rushing around her ankles and continuing to chill her person. "Thank you..." She said softly, cheeks flushing pink with embarrassment despite the immense pain she's in.
