Maeve let her eyes drift over to him, sympathy seeming to color her green irises as she studied his profile. This was something she could understand. Something she related to. Never being enough. Never being wanted. "My mother left when I was three and my father barely left the bottle enough to remember I existed. I left home at fifteen. There isn't anything wrong with not loving your family. I definitely don't. What have they ever done for me? Fuck the people in your life who don't give a fuck about you." She sighed heavily, digging her toes into the sand that was still warm from the sun.

Maeve grinned, straightening up and leaning against him to bump his shoulder, "Oh you sweet thing. I don't think you're judging me." The laugh he earned was full bellied and she thought it was adorable. The way he stuttered around the subject of sex. "Night time stuff, huh? Is that what the kids are calling sex these days?"
