i'm the kind of human wreckage that you love
Rigby also loved silence, so this would work out great.
The boy had spent the days since his return to Haulani surrounded by people, working his trade, hustling and stealing and bartering for goods. Today however he wanted quiet. He wanted to get away and not worry about where he'd eat or sleep, he just wanted to lay in the sand under the Flowerbirth sun.
Rainbow road wasn't the quietest of retreats, but it was a nice place. Rigby walked along the shoreline, watching the colors ripple away beneath his boots. The vibrancy would trickle away as it was separated from the conglomerate, but it was pretty while it lasted, like little prisms that splashed up and shimmered before turning to rain. Finally he settled at a tide pool, sitting on a rock face and leaning back, closing his eyes.
He was oblivious to the mermaid who joined him in the pool below.
