“Oh, did coming back from the dead make you stupid?” Tilting her head to one side, Wessex looks at Edy like she’s full of excuses. Because she is. “Because I told everyone about meetings, plans, and offers to train. I came back from the dead once." Throwing that into the mix, all Wessex can imply is that she's full of shit. "I know what it's like. And if someone had said we’re going to be fighting monsters, I damn sure would have been prepared for the worst.”
Crossing her arms, she looks at Edy’s dramatics and rolls her eyes. “You were, and it put everyone out there with you in danger. Even without my mistake you didn’t look like you could hold your own. But me? Not prepared? No.” Categorically shutting that claim down, Wessex shakes her head. “I did everything I could with the information I had. Ain’t nothing going to change that.”
Or the fact that she’s laying here, with the luxury of yelling at Wessex. Because at the end of the day, she’s alive. They all are. The monsters are gone. Monsters she’s only had a taste of, compared to others. That’s what matters.
