This was a mistake. The words echo in her ears and she inhales sharply. The tears well up instantly and her throat grows tight with emotion. Was that just what she was? A mistake? Was it so bad to be with her? First Locke and now Aurelia. Gods... What was wrong with her? Maeve is still reeling. Still trying to figure out what went wrong. Words don't come to her and she watches with tear blurred vision as Aurelia disappears out the door. She crumples, burying her face in her hands as she cries, shoulders hunching as the tremble with her sobs. Why did she even bother? When was she going to learn? Whores don't get to have love. They don't get happy endings. Why couldn't she understand that? Things would be so much better for her if she could.
