Hearing them speak in unison like that sent a shiver down her spine. It was like hearing the most perfectly tuned birdsong, both unsettling and beautiful.
Well Phoebe sure hoped they wouldn't die, but she was well aware by now that her personal wants and desires could vary greatly from Frey's. They had a view of the world she could not even begin to imagine, and so she kept her thought to herself. Help things flourish and grow... Slowly the picture began to form in her mind as her divine friend dropped little hints here and there. Honey brown eyes widened, lips parting from shock as she stared at first nature-Frey then sex-Frey.
"You mean I'm a..." Demigod? She didn't dare even breathe the word. With sharp, painful clarity the image of Cian came to her mind - their conversation, his assumptions of the future. Had it really come to pass?? Briefly she turned her head to look at the chrysalis from which she had emerged. Why else would she had been 'cooking' in there? Had Frey simply wished to protect her for whatever reason, they could have whisked her off to their world. Instead...she evolved like a caterpillar that now stood in the world a butterfly.
