She is not a hugger. She is not warm and soft (not that he would appreciate it), nor is she gentle except when she’s trying not to break something and has to be keenly aware of her strength. So this is… like that, almost. Even though Nate could take her strength.
It’s a gesture, if nothing else.
So when he responds awkwardly, she straightens and releases him, nodding and then that turns into a little fake cough. “Of course,” she says quietly. “Now - what do you think you went this far in?” she asks, fully back to the task at hand. They were gonna find his sword if it killed her.
