KOVA
The beast flinches at Aisha's quick movements, its stony mechanisms shifting and Kova can feel the power in it even from ten feet away. It sends a starkly cold shiver down his spine, in spite of the sweat that beads heavily over his brows. And yet, a determined frown takes a secure residence on his face, never to falter through what happens next.
Because Kova's got a plan already. Aisha won't need her blade but, he doesn't have time to tell her that because the fyrhound begins charging. With whip-like movements, Kova sheds his threadbare shirt and flings it at the monster's face. It drapes across its eyes, catching on the rough edges of its flesh - if it can be called that - and this is their getaway.
His hand flies to Aisha's wrist, checking that she still has her backpack because these rocks are so important to her, and his feet begin to move. "Run!" He snaps, pulling her towards the exit - but it won't take long for Aisha to begin outrunning him, trained and skilled as she is.
Kova can keep up though, and behind them the wild beast struggles with his shirt. It won't take long for it to rip and burn through the thin material, but it's enough time for them to get lost in the ashen wasteland.
By the time they reach safety, Kova is breathless and he'll need a moment to recover. But not even he will give himself that moment, letting out a triumphant whoop and shouting across the barren ground, "Nothin's ever gonna catch me! So take that and shove it up your rocky ass!"
To Aisha, he asks with that same charmingly charmed grin, "So, where to next, miss thing?"
