Honestly, if the other man had been able to get those words out, Ronin might have been offended (amused?) enough to stand by and let him finish the song, and offer him a sardonic is that better? when it's all said and done. Thankfully Ronin has other ideas, and even as his host turns towards him and speaks he finds himself leaning in to cut off the rest of the sentence with lips half numbed from alcohol.
That barely matters, though - it's not like they're flat out wasted, and the rest of his body still knows what to do. It explains why Ronin has sense enough to sink down on the edge of the piano bench, anyway. He might be facing the other way, but that kind of makes it better; the way his fingers roam up into perfectly imperfect curls to draw the other man closer; the free hand that sneaks onto Remi's knee, sliding up with absolute impunity along his thigh.
