Deimos, while outside of the Barracks, was in fact, not taking a break.Instead, he’d been walking from the outskirts of the Citadel on a routine check of the walls, of the city itself, marching amidst several other guards, when they’d rounded along for a recess, a pause. Given the timeframe, the beast fully intended to make his way along preferred routes towards the training area. Possibly to find a favored friend to irritate.
And sure enough, Hotaru was cleaning up her sanction of the spa’s pathways, constantly and consistently iced over due to Halo’s weather patterns. Instead of announcing his presence in a low grumble, as she’d be used to, he opted to slink around a corner, granting enough distance and space to witness movements and motions, to execute ridiculous plans, and hopefully not get caught.
Which was why he applied several incantations threaded together: water and air, to pack the snow into a compact ball, and then lift it, launch it, hopefully at her back.
