Aurelia
How come silence is so loud in the shadows?
I wanna scream 'til it's on
I wanna scream 'til it's on
Of course she's back here, in the Wilds. Drawn to it like a moth to a flame, or... maybe more like an encantado to mysterious waters.
So through the tangles, her feet guide her, deeper and deeper into the mist. It doesn't deter her, though it does prickle against her skin and raise the hairs on her arms. Her pace slows to a more cautious one and her mind wanders distractedly toward far-off things. Otherwise, she forges onward.
The crash of the Leap starts to mute her surroundings as she follows it pointedly. Jungle birdsong and chirping bugs fade into the background, grasses and leaves part into open space.
There's a splash beneath her, and she suddenly finds herself knee-deep in water. She startles, jolting to a halt. Or she tries, anyway.
She fumbles gracelessly into the still water, sending ripples across it's surface - what surface that's visible, at least.
Gods-damn soaked. She's soaked completely through. "Pbbt- ugh," she spits out a wet leaf as she sits up, mumbling, "just my luck." Panic alights her eyes when she realizes her knife is missing from it's sheath. Subtly desperate, she snakes her hands through the water around her. "No- where'd you go?"

Tell my feet they should run
but they don't follow
