Hearing her name in a sickeningly-sweet voice, feeling something glide against her legs, only drives her to continue pedaling through the water. It alights some sort of carnal fear within her, feeling like she's being chased.
But she's been swimming too far for any of this to make sense. She should've reached the shore by now. The ice forming around her, enclosing her, is a subtle warning that time is tick, tick, ticking away - and she's made no real strides. For a moment she stops in the water, mentally flicking through her very limited options.
Going off of a hunch that might be completely wrong, she resolves. "Have it your way, then," she murmurs before sucking in a deep breath to hold firmly in her lungs. Once more, the water takes her under the surface and into its depths. At least this time, it's by her own choice. She keeps her eyes open and searches for... well, she doesn't know that anymore, but she searches anyway.
