He’s captivated by the tarantula in his hands and it seems to calm down within his palms, too, which only charms him more. So he leans in to press the kiss to her cheek, before he’s stepping around the area, searching for something cold and dark and comfortable for a spider to rest in before night comes and she can easily move back out into the wilderness of Haulani. He manages to find a cool glass surface, grabbing a few papers to stick in the bottom of the makeshift tank, propping a bowl upside down and sticking a bit of cold water in the corner.
He does have to laugh when she asks if it likes to swim, a grin spreading across his face before he’s shaking his head. “Nah, they don’ swim.” He says, looking over his shoulder at her with a crooked smile. “Might be thirsty tho.” He comments with a tilt of his head, considering it, but he’s already added water anyway and a bit of shelter for her, before he lowers the one hand she settles in, into the tank.
The spider immediately moves to hang out near the cool water, feeling it slip through the glass to cool everything around the space down. And when he turns back to face Aurelia, it’s with a bright grin, a bounce of his brows as he returns to the sandwiches and snatches the second one before she has a chance to devour that one too. “’m glad y’like it. Tryin’ other things from jus’ fish. Thought y’might be gettin’ tired of it.” Lifting the sandwich to his lips, he takes a big bite and sighs into it contently.
