She continued to cheep her hunger occasionally, but the warmth was doing wonders to keep her calm and relaxed as their combined body heat finally chased away the chill her egg-damp feathers had left.
When Isla returned she would find the bard holding his new companion in his lap, utterly captivated with the tiny life and singing a quiet lullaby in the Sylvan tongue to her as she gently nibbled a corner of the towel with a surprisingly sharp little beak.
