He gladly rifled through the clothes she had found, plucking out a long-sleeved shirt and a woolen sweater to go over it, and finding some leather pants that risked being a bit on the tight side, but at least were warm and dry. It wouldn't be his finest ensemble, but it would be comfortable and for that he was grateful as he took the items with a bow and retreated in the direction his hostess had indicated.
He returned a short while later, his wet clothes folded into a damp bundle and with his hair brushed back and rebraided. Seeing the extra bag his eyes lit up and he offered one of his courtly bows. "Kind lady," he murmured, "I appreciate that you've gone to this trouble for me! But I'd hate to be so churlish as to do all the talking.
