Honestly, Finn has neither the insight nor the social capacity to have anticipated the layers that his question might have unfolded into. He had meant it on a purely practical basis - if October wanted him to still exist in the same space as her once their son arrived, he would need more than what he's got - but as she probes further it seems to dawn on him that she's looking at it through more than one lens.
