Well that’s some mixed signals, if he’s ever seen it. He chuckles against her denial despite her agreeing grin, before he’s stepping ahead and getting pelted in the back with a snowball. It shifts him, the set to his shoulders, and he dives for the rock he’d aimed for at first, snowball soon in hand, poking his head out quite strategically to throw it at her. He doesn’t expect it to hit her so hard, but they’re Ascended – they don’t feel it. So it’s nothing but a cackle of laughter that erupts from his hiding place, mixing with her giggled apology.

A few snowballs manage to make it his way, some of them straying past, one of them hitting the rock and showering him on the other side with a fair amount of snow. And he’s not one to be outdone, having spent the time to make a few snowballs in preparation, trying to calculate where she’s settled. He’s gathered his three snowballs in his arm, clutched close as he pushes off from behind the rock to head toward the next snow drift, closer to the water they’re supposed to be approaching – launching the snowballs in her direction as he dives for the next bit of cover.
