Neron’s quick response rouses Varus’ amusement – a huff of a laugh as his hands rise in front of him, palms facing Neron with a grin that spreads. “Damn, alright.” He chuckles, following the Ascended through the side of the barracks toward the shortcut to the training grounds. He’s attentive to the information the hybrid offers, humming in thought, unable to answer right away as he hops over the side of the wall as well.
He watches in idle surprise at the way Neron seems to clear out the ice from the path and Varus idly swipes away some of the snow that’s collected on his metal arm while they continue to walk into the center of the training grounds. “An Ascended hybrid, huh? You’re the first I’ve met.” He comments offhandedly. It wasn’t a thing back then and to hear that it was a possible thing? Well, that was certainly something astonishing.
Of course he won’t admit it.
Reaching the middle, Varus reaches for a knife, taking a few steps away from Neron to gain some distance between them. “Alright, guess let’s see what this hybrid can do.” Flashing Neron a bright grin, he wastes little time in immediately aiming a knife at the other Ascended and lets it fly.
