It’s enough of a surprise for him to hear how she worries about him that he forgets what else he was going to say in its entirety, a crooked smile overcoming the smirks of earlier, especially when she nudges him. There’s an air of a laugh that’s emitted, Varus softening enough that she spins them easily. He’s taken by surprise at the feel of the soft blankets at his back, but it doesn’t stop him from propping himself up on an elbow, his other hand drifting to her leg and giving her an encouraging squeeze. “Careful not to hurt yourself, there’s a few knives in there.” Hence the padding.
