Maeve
The last few hours of work in the day are the hardest and Maeve thinks that if it were anyone else, they would have surely thrown in the towel, but the five of them and their volunteers power through. With an enthusiasm that is almost hard to swallow given the exhaustion everyone is feeling, Maeve flits from group to group. She brings lemonade, snacks, an encouraging smile, and whatever else is needed to get the job done. She's all too happy to help. This is her baby, after all. Weeks and weeks of work and preparations are finally coming together for her. The home that she lost now brand new and whole again. Maeve has to take a moment for herself lest she start crying in front of everyone.
Inside, Seren andRin manage to get the rest of the sconces hung, filled, and fitted with a wick. While the younger girl had struggled before, she's got it figured out now and it takes very little effort on her part to help Seren with the rest of the work. Soon they whole inside is outfitted and there is light inside of the Halenani once more.
Aurelia and Sunjata have just as good of a run as the girls inside do. Not only does the footbridge look beautiful, finely constructed, and sturdy, but now it will truly be able to stand up the the wear and tear of the elements with that coat of sealant. As for Sunjata, well, it does him good to slow down a bit. The workers seem less skittish around him and it makes things a bit easier. In no time they've outfitted the front gate with a new working latch and a fresh coat of paint on the fence.

I appreciate it more than you could ever know." Maeve speaks to the group collectively, smiling brightly as the tears finally prick her eyes and she swallows against the tightness in her throat. "If any of you ever need anything from me, just let me know. I owe you one."
