The predators that linger in Remi's bones bristle and brace against the Star as he moves to sit up. He's so very close to being considered prey, that to release him now—to give up the high ground?—has them very nearly snarling. Remi though is all too willing to let Ronin rise, his hands smoothing away (some of) the mud from the Star's cheeks.

Sparks dance up from the base of his spine as Ronin's tongue slides against his lip, but as the Star draws back, Remi can only regard him with befuddled and boyish confusion for a moment. The lines around one of his eyes grow more pronounced as his expression becomes crooked even as his head tilts in the opposite direction. Through the mud smeared across his cheeks, his dimples deepen as his skin flushes; despite how very well Remi knows the eyes he peers into, suddenly it's as though Ronin's gaze is too much.

Glancing down with an almost nervous laugh, Remi shakes his head. "If I am, it is only because of you." He admits. "You are the only one who can see me as beautiful." Shyly—or perhaps it's disbelievingly?—said, Remi reaches out to cup Ronin's face in his hands.

"I want to give you the life you want." There's heat in his belly, but it coats his words too. "I will."
