It hit one gourd with a steady hand, and its resounding hiss as it glided over and down into the falls might’ve been a tad alarming, given past predilections – if there weren’t so many, and it likely would simply descend and float along the water below. Fangorn grumbled something in response, but Melita was a bright, singsong ember. “Oh, this is nothing. We’ve seen a lot. One time we battled a big one with blight!” As another advanced, threatening to nip at her ankles, she gently shoved it away with her foot, and it followed suit with its brethren. “If they were civilized, I’d feel worse.” She shrugged; but they weren’t – so she didn’t.
