Aino did see. Looking in through the open door, she had to shake her head at the industriousness of the prank. The scale of it... her mother must have depleted every stash of flour and sweetening in every relatives stores to pull this off.
"Muffins..." she muttered. Clearly moved by the gesture - it was the first time she'd received any since she was a girl - but also increasingly grumpy about not being able to enter her own house.
"Those are my muffins," she still complained, when Sah began to talk about giving them away. "Oh, fine. But I get to eat as many as I want first." Snatching up a handful from just inside the door, she slumped down to perch on the steps and bit a huge chunk out of one of them.
Only belatedly, and with great reluctance was Sah offered one. Just one, mind. Even for just a moment, Aino was determined to revel in this unexpected fortune.
