It’s a sweet one. He purrs through the bond, head cocking toward her briefly, before he’s focusing intensely on the fyrhunds again.

He might’ve done the same, provided he weren’t concerned about the burns that might linger after. And truthfully? The Flood has been burned more than enough times that it was something he wanted to avoid at every cost.
