But even though the pain clearly registered, Seren almost seemed to relish it, in some self destructive tendency uncovered by ire.
She added the weight of gravit to the blade as she swung the broken staff towards the head of the downed dummy. Still she did not pause or retreat to change her grip, even though it would make it easier on her. Faster too, and less likely to have her hand torn up by frayed splinters.
She didn't care. Couldn't be bothered to. Almost longed for another bite of sensation, now that it had begun; it was better than thinking.
