The touch was soothing, and grounded her enough that even though the subject was difficult, Seren still managed to speak.
"I would prefer if I could just stay the way I normally am," she replied, quiet and a little surly. "Around everyone. Family and friends... that's all I want. All I need. Liking and love and crushes and all that, it just make it complicated. I don't want any of it."
