Lily had noticed on her way in that the Luxere that were starting to gather seemed restless; lowing and moving about as if uneasy with… something. She made a mental note to try and find an opportunity somewhere between when most people were in and all the people were in to go out and… what? Soothe them? Try to convince them to stick around for her? It’s folly, but she’s had encouraging results from all her previous trials.

So the redhead tries to slip out unnoticed, wearing only enough to keep her warm for a song or two. As she ascends to the ground level, the performer opens her mouth for yet another one of Robert Burns’ poems-turned-song. A sadder one, but it has a particularly enchanting melody. Hopefully she’s timed this well enough - not too late to attract the monsters with noise, and just in case it fails - not so early as to have witnesses to let them all know it was her who doomed them.

Quietly, half to herself and half to the assembled reindeer, she sings to attempt to calm them down - trying to minimize herself until there is nothing but the song.

“Should auld acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and auld lang syne?

For auld lang syne, my dear
For auld lang syne.
We’ll take a cup of kindness yet
For auld lang syne

We two have run about the slopes
And picked the daisies fine
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot
Since auld lang syne…”
