Maeve huffs a soft laugh when Aidon grumbles, sending something down the bond that's a mix of irritation and smugness, causing her to arch a brow. She reaches down with her free hand to pet the top of his head gently, rubbing at the ridges between his eyes. "I found him, actually. He was caught in a bramble push on the edge of the woods near the Grounds. A tangleweed much bigger than myself was heading right for him." She explains, glancing over at him, being careful to keep the fact that she was with Safrin's daughter out of the story. She wasn't sure how he would take that, but most Ascended seemed against the Old Gods and she wasn't under the impression that he felt any differently.

"A ghost story, huh? Perfect for Leafchange. I've been indulging in more poetry myself recently." Maeve shares easily, lifting her shoulders in a small shrug as they near the building and she leads him upstairs towards her apartment. "Of course. Wouldn't want to keep her waiting for too long." She hums, leading him to the room that's meant to be the nursery, opening the curtains to let in some light. "You can just set them down anywhere." Motioning to the paint cans as she does a slow turn about the room, lips pursed in thought, eyes dipping to the pile of wood that's meant to be a crib. A crib she hasn't asked for helping building.
