Maeve
The murder of gore crows was relentless. The one who originally attacked Locke circled back around, diving for the jaguar that was no longer there, but it made a fatal mistake. While there wasn't a jaguar waiting for it, but instead a viper. A viper that was pissed and full of venom, fangs ready to strike out in a flash, unwilling to relent. Locke was successful this time. Jaw unhinged and venom already beading on the tips of his fangs found home in the crow's flesh.
Maeve was just as successful in her own attempts at thinning the flock, lashing out in quick succession, rendering them dead in a spit of fire and embers. Their corpses lay smoldering on the craggy rock, the smell of seared flesh filling the air, threatening to make the Nightshade sick. The honeybee managed picking off many of her own, leaving them to fall from the sky with death cries and smoldering wings, unrelenting in her assault against the winged creatures.
Soon, the chaos subsided as the last of the crows fled, disappearing back into the sky and leaving them to catch their breath. Maeve huffed, cheeks flushed and breaths coming in quick pants, a grimace tugging on her features.
